Here Are My Absolute Favorite Holiday Bargain Finds

One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is to hunt the local thrift stores. This is especially true around Christmas time. I love finding things to use in my decorating. Sometimes I find holiday bargain finds that surprises even me. I ask myself “someone really didn’t want this?” as I tuck my prize under my arm.

Check out three of my all-time favorite holiday bargain finds and how you can easily recreate them.

My All-Time Favorite Holiday Bargain Finds

Here are three thrift store finds that left me with a big smile when I left the store.

Vintage Mercury Ornament

If I had to pick my absolute favorite holiday bargain find it would have to be my vintage mercury ornament. I say vintage, but to be honest I can’t really tell if it’s truly vintage or just a really good look-a-like.

My Vintage Mercury Ornament!

Either way, this oversized ornament looks amazing! It’s actually too big to put on the tree, which is fine because it deserves a spotlight of its own. I hang it individually so it gets its proper due.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS THING!

Here’s how you can recreate this holiday bargain find:

Dollar Store Score!

There are two easy ways to recreate the look of my mercury ornament. The first is to pick up one or two (or ten) of these budget-friendly dollar stores finds.

Holiday Bargain Finds
Yep! These are at the .99 Cent’s Store.

I spied these at my local .99 Cents Store. These are gorgeous! They’re not plastic but are glass and look like real mercury ornaments. I couldn’t just take this picture without grabbing a few for my tree.

DIY Mercury Glass Ornament

The second way to get the look of a mercury ornament is a little more DIY but still super easy.

Just grab one or more large clear ornaments from the dollar store or Michaels and spray paint the inside with this looking glass spray paint.

Feather Wreath

Coming up a close second is my white feather wreath. This is another amazing holiday bargain find. The minute I saw it, I knew exactly where it would go.

I love the way this looks!

I love spreading the holiday decor love all around my house so this beauty was destined to live in my master bedroom. During the holidays I swap out my JuJu Hat for this feather wreath.

Here’s how you can recreate this holiday bargain find:

DIY Feather Wreath

Grab your favorite wreath form and a feather boa from the craft store and get to wrapping. And that’s it!

You might need more than one wreath to get the full feather look.

Oh and while you’re at the craft store pick up a clear wreath hanger to hang your feather beauty.

Tabletop Tree

This tabletop tree is a new edition this year. Like all the other holiday bargain finds, I found this one at my local Goodwill store. I actually grabbed this off the cart before it could even make it to the shelves. LOL!

Can you believe someone threw this out?!

Oh well! Their trash is my treasure! You know I just couldn’t pass this up.

The tree actually lights up! And the crystals bounce the light around even more. Even my husband loved this holiday bargain find.
